Overall Bridge Construction Updates

Construction on the Overall Bridge has begun. Scenic 340 Project, along with the Department of Historic Resources and other stakeholders, remain actively engaged with VDOT as construction progresses. We are working to ensure that VDOT is respectful to all the elements that make up this unique area.

Recently, Scenic 340 met with VDOT to determine the Random Fieldstone faux stone treatment that will be used on the Overall Bridge as well as the other bridge projects on Route 340 and the North Fork and South Fork Bridges in Front Royal.

Discussions continue for Jeremy’s Run and the Compton and Norfolk Southern Railroad bridge replacements.
