Comprehensive
Plan Review Underway
Augusta County residents are actively participating in the Comprehensive
Plan Review process, with 800 people attending public meetings last
fall in the five districts and another 1,500 completing an online
vision survey late last summer. Planners have completed a current
conditions report and identified the need to add sections to the
comp plan concerning water resources, forestry and historic resources.
The Comp Plan Review Steering Committee and an advisory Citizens
Committee are reviewing the contract for the planning work and considering
adjustments based on newly identified needs. You can read more on
the Comprehensive Plan page of the county
website.
